I’m not sure this falls into the “Time To Laugh” category but I was so captivated by the creativity, I thought I would share.
First, take a look at these.
I know the artwork is good, but not necessarily brilliant. What makes it creative is these are full-sized posters designed to be mounted on garage doors.
Cost: $199 to $399.
I grabbed some pictures of houses off the web, then added some of the posters with a little help from Photoshop.
These commercials make you laugh EVERY time you see them.
See. You’re smiling now.
e-Trade hit it “out of the park” two Super Bowl Sundays ago, with the introduction and animation of this little guy, whose name has not been released.
For those of us who are interested, the marketing genius behind the ads is Nick Utton. In an interview, he describes the creative thinking and animation process that went into this effort. At the time of the interview, the ads had over 10,000,000 hits on YouTube. When I checked today, it was over 12,000,000. That’s remarkable for a 30-second commercial.
And now, for the second posting in my new “Time to Laugh” series, here are all the e-Trade baby ads to date.
“I underestimated the creepiness” (Rented “Bobo, the Clown”)
*The last ABC clip was from a special called “Un-Broke: What You Need to Know About Money” with Mellody Hobson. And who could be seen in the room with Christian Slater in one scene?
Yup, that would be my son, Adam. Here’s the clip from the show.
We don’t often see it in the media because the focus is always on the “noise.” The man in the center of the crowd, with the sunglasses, holding the sign, has an insightful sense of humor. The pictures below illustrate that humor, with a small amount of illiteracy added.
Thanks to Kanye West, I have now seen the word “I’mma.”
Seen at the Prop 8 protest in California.
Well, it’s either a good parody or…
I don’t think he got the memo.
I can’t tell you how thankful I am this is a FOX News fan.
If you need a sign to… Nevermind.
No amount of information will make them realize the stupidity of their sign.
My son Adam, who has done his share of traveling abroad, has said many times, “If you aren’t happy living in this country, you will never be happy.” This goes for “douche bags” too.
This person must be friends with the women two pictures up.
Another guy with a great sense of humor at the Prop 8 protest.
Ah yes, patriots for marijuana. What could be more American?
She may want to get her money back for that Anatomy Class.
